We are at Punta Leone, living in the rainforest with scarlet macaws, white-faced monkeys and all their friends.  This is an incredibly lush and beautiful place.  Every sense is engaged here.  As I write this late this evening, chirps, calls, and clicks from outside fill my ears in a very soothing way. On our bird walk this morning we saw a pair of scarlet macaws near their nest in a large tree, among many other birds. On our way back to our room 2 pairs of macaws flew overhead, each pair moving in a different direction! We took a shuttle to Playa Blanca, a gorgeous white sand beach which habéis had the blue flag award for 10 years indicating the cleanest water on Costa Rica?s Pacific coast. We also had a delicious lunch there after swimming in the ocean. Then we went on the Tarcoles River and Mangrove Cruise where we saw over 30 different types of birds as well as crocodiles and a lizard.  We have lots of photos to share of things we were seeing for the very first time.  Nature is amazing. Lastly, we went into Jaco, a Pacific beach town with many surf shops, for dinner and of course a little sightseeing/shopping. Like this LikeLoading...
